PICKING UP ONLINE ORDERS
Q. I want to buy beer at the brewery. Should I make the purchase online and pick up the order? Or should I stop in during retail hours?
A. We highly recommend making the purchase online prior to picking up the order. Ordering online holds the items you’ve purchased and guarantees their stock upon your arrival (excellent choice if you’re traveling a distance to get here).
Our online inventory is directly linked to what we have available at the brewery retail store, right down to the very last beer. By showing up at the retail store, stock may have changed from the last time you checked it at home.
Ordering online also makes payment a breeze. That way if you are in a rush, you can quickly grab your order from the brewery and be on your way.
Q. What are your retail hours for the brewery retail store?
A. Our retail hours are Saturday (11am-5pm).
Q. Do you sell kegs?
Q. I own/work for a bar or restaurant? Can I buy your beer?
A. Yes. Although due to our low production volume, we cannot offer any type of wholesale pricing currently. Purchases can be made through the website or at the brewery. Contact us for more details if you're interested in our bottles or cans! firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. Do you serve beer at the brewery?
A. Not at this time. Retail only for now.
Q. There’s a particular beer I’m looking for that I had on a previous order, but it’s not available any more. Is it coming back?
A. We love variety. It’s why we got into brewing in the first place. We will be doing a lot of experimental brewing which may not always guarantee the same beers are always going to be available. Sure, there will be some that we may brew more often than others, and some you may only see once per year. However, we’d go as far as saying we’ll never consider any of our beers to be “retired” and that at some point we may come back to re-brew any recipe that’s in our portfolio.

Q. How does this all work?
A. Ordering through our website for beer and merchandise is just like any other online shop. Add the items to your cart, followed by filling in payment information, selecting your shipping method (or in-store pick-up), then place your order.
Orders are processed like any other online shop. We carefully package the contents and the parcels are submitted to the post office. If the order is for pick-up at the brewery retail store, we box up your order and wait for your arrival to claim it.
Q. I forgot something in my order. Can I make any additions or changes?
A. If it is for an order in which shipping has been selected, it will depend at which stage of the order process the shipment is in. If we can catch it before it ships out, we’ll do our best to follow through on the requested changes (this may incur additional charges depending on the changes, but we’ll confirm amounts prior to doing so). Please contact email@example.com for the requested addition or change. Please include your order number.
For orders in which brewery pick-up has been selected, if you are looking to add to the order we request that you simply place a second order through the website. It will be much quicker and easier this way. Your orders will be combined for your arrival. If you would like to remove or switch any items in the order please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will attempt to have the changes made prior to picking up.
Q. Can I cancel my online order?
A. If the order is for pick-up, sure, no problem! We can have the order refunded and have the items put back into inventory.
If it is an order in which shipping has been selected, it will depend on whether the parcel has been accepted by Canada Post at the time of the request. If we are unable to catch the shipment from going out and it arrives to you, you may return the parcel. However, shipping costs (both to and from) will be deducted from the refund of the overall order value.
Q. You can ship beer through the mail?
A. Certainly. A manufacturer of alcohol can ship direct to consumer. Many wineries and even a few distilleries within Ontario ship their product via Canada Post to Ontario residents. See details below:
Intoxicating beverages can only be shipped within Canada by Parcel Services contract customers and Solutions for Small Business cardholders that meet each of the following requirements:
The customer uses Electronic Shipping Tools (EST) and selects the "PROOF OF AGE" (18 or 19) option (which includes a signature at delivery); and a manufacturer of such beverages is mailing to a Provincial Liquor Board or Commission, to a distributor of such beverages in Canada, or to an individual within the same province.
Q. Okay, so why sell beer through the mail?
A. Our original intent of the website was to allow out of town craft beer drinkers the opportunity to purchase online with the option to pick-up their order at the brewery. This ensures that for those making longer distance drives that there will be a guarantee of beer at the end of the journey. Nothing is worse than driving all that way only to find out something is sold out! Locals have the same access to buy online and pick-up at the brewery. It will be a simple way to pay in advance, swing by to grab the order, and be on their way.
Since the website is already set-up for purchasing online, adding a shipping option was the next logical decision. Sure, there’s some added cost to this method. But the same costs are also prevalent in beer trading and beer of the month clubs (which we’re also fans of). Except with our site, there is the advantage of selecting exactly which beers you’re after. We also realize that Ontario is very large and driving is not always an option. Then there are those who are close enough to drive, yet shipping may actually be less expensive than the fuel to get here.
It’s also a great gift idea for friends and family of a craft beer drinker. Receiving a new beer from a (non-local) brewery they’ve never tried, what’s better than that? Need recommendations? Just ask! email@example.com
Q. Will shipping through the mail affect the beer in any way?
A. No. Unless in extreme weather conditions, either a heat wave or freezing cold temperatures, the beer should have no problems at all surviving on a short trip cross-province during most of the year. (If the current weather is one of these conditions we will contact you by email regarding a decision to ship).
Beer is commonly shipped all over the world, from beer of the month clubs to Belgian beer-in-a-box websites to various groups of beer traders (trading some of the most valuable beer out there). So there is very little reason for concern.
Q. I made an order, when will it ship?
A. All orders are shipped on the Monday following the date of purchase. If your order is placed on a Monday it will most likely ship the following week, although we will try our best to get it out the same day if possible.
Q. How fast is shipping?
A. From our shipping experience we’ve found that Canada Post Expedited will arrive in 2-4 days to major urban centres and up to 5 days to non-major urban centres. Canada Post Xpresspost can get the parcel there a little quicker, from 1-2 days to major urban centres, and 2-3 days to non-major urban centres. Northern regions and remote centres are the only instances where the shipment could take more than a week. We arrange to have all of our parcels shipped on the Monday of each week to ensure that the majority of the parcels arrive by mid-week or Friday at the latest. Just in time for the weekend!
Q. According to the tracking information the parcel is past the “Expected Delivery Date”, what should I do?
A. Unfortunately at this point there is nothing we can do. Sometimes Canada Post, like any other delivery service, may experience delays. The best thing to do is be patient and hopefully it arrives the next day, usually this is the case and it’s not much of an issue.
If it has been more than a few days to a week, please contact us and we’ll be sure to follow up with Canada Post and try to locate exactly where the parcel is. At this time, if there are any refunds available to us from Canada Post for the delayed shipment, we will of course pass that refund along to you to cover the shipping cost/inconvenience.
Q. How do you check proof of age for the shipment of beer?
A. We don’t, Canada Post does that for us! Each and every order containing beer must require a signature and proof of age (19+ ID) before Canada Post will release the parcel to you. The name on the shipment must match the person picking up the parcel. So please make sure to bring your ID with you to the post office.
Q. What happens if I’m under-age and try to order beer?
A. We know it is tough when your parents fridge is stocked only with light beer and your taste buds demand better. But attempting to get beer this way would only result in a loss of money. Like stated above, if the names don’t match on the shipment and you are unable to provide proof of age, then the beer will be returned back to us. From your purchase payment, we will then have to recover the shipping and handling costs both to and from the destination. You will be refunded the remainder of the order value after the shipping deductions.
Q. A can (or cans) broke in my shipment. What happens from here?
A. Please contact us as soon as you discover an issue with the order. We will work with you to resolve the problem, whether in form of a refund, store credit or replacement. Please also attach a photo to the email so that we may investigate the issue, that way we can make the necessary changes to make sure it does not happen again.

PICKING UP ONLINE ORDERS
Q. When can I pick up the order I’ve placed online?
A. Every Saturday (unless otherwise noted) we will be available for you to stop in at the brewery to pick up your order. Otherwise, you can schedule a pick-up nearly any day of the week through our checkout app.
Q. I can’t make it on the next available pick-up day. Can I make an appointment to pick up?
A. We realize that some people may be in the area during the week, or are just passing through. You can let us know your preferred day and time by email and we’ll see what we can do. Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee our availability but we will do our best to accommodate.
Q. Can I have a friend pick up the order I placed online?
A. Sorry, no. The name on the online order must match the identification of the person picking up the order at the brewery.
