We brewed this one with some extra thickness! Softness all around and layered with sweetness to balance the big berry blast of intense fruit! The vanilla is notably in the background amplifying the smoothie character, while the hops lend some dank citrus undertones. Sweet, soft, sour, raspberry deliciousness.

It’s time to re-think seasonals in a world where traditional seasons will no longer exist. It used to be that dark, roasty beers were for the cold, snowy months and then we’d reach for something more light and fruity when the temperatures warmed. Seasonable beers used to be based on the season, but what happens when in the same week you’re buried in snow and a few days later it’s patio weather?
Introducing our first Winterspring seasonal, When The Seasons Lose Their Grip. A blend of oak-aged farmhouse sour ales. The large portion (70% of the blend) is an oak-aged dark farmhouse sour ale brewed with roasted specialty malts and a hint of vanilla, while the smaller portion (30% of the blend) is an oak-aged golden sour ale loaded with apricots and blackberries.
This is a beer that overlaps the constantly fluctuating weather and temperature swings. Roasty and chocolatey enough for those cozy days indoors when it’s bitterly cold. Yet, bright and fruity for those sunny afternoons outdoors, which could only be a day apart. This beer has you covered either way.

PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY • 9.0% Pineau des Charentes Puncheon Aged Farmhouse Sour Ale with Cabernet Franc & Shiraz Wine Must & Skins. Our first pull from our first puncheon, we racked 50% of the 600L oak barrel for packaging, then immediately topped it off with more oak-aged sour beer as well as additional wine must to continue refermentation. This will become a solera method sour where the large oak barrel is never fully emptied. Persistence of Memory has notes of figs, clove, pepper, and currants from being aged in the puncheon previously holding the wine/cognac blend. The wine must adds a depth of red wine flavours, aromatics, and tannins. Dry, refined, and a delicious treat for the holidays ahead.
